SUMMER CAMP: Mosaics with Pittsburgh Filmmakers/Center for the Arts

PRESENTED BY:  The Pittsburgh Center for the Arts is a non-profit community arts campus that offers arts education programs and contemporary art exhibitions and is located at 6300 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15232

PLEASE NOTE:  This is a week long summer camp held at The Artsmiths in Mt. Lebanon; each class is a 3-hour session from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Registering for this camp includes registration for the full week of Monday, June 19th through Friday, June 23rd.

CLASS DESCRIPTION:  Design and create a decorative mosaic comprised of glass, upcycled porcelain and grout. Fashion something traditional using a wooden panel as a base or a new unique piece by combining glass and grout to create a unique frame that gives your photographs a mosaic look.

MATERIALS NEEDED:  All materials are provided by the Artsmiths of Pittsburgh and costs are included in the tuition.

LUNCH:  Students who take this half-day class in the morning and the Stained Glass half-day class in the afternoon must bring a packed lunch unless other arrangements have been made through The Artsmiths by completing our Lunch Sign Up Form and paying the resulting fees at least one week prior to the start of camp. A limited amount of food and beverage may be available for purchase at our Koolkat Café.
