PRESENTED BY:   The Pittsburgh Center for the Arts  is a non-profit community arts campus that offers arts education programs and contemporary art exhibitions.

PLEASE NOTE:  This is a week long summer camp held at The Artsmiths in Mt. Lebanon; each class is a 6.5 hour session from 9am to 3:30pm. Registering for this camp includes registration for the full week of Monday, July 31st through Friday, August 4th.

CLASS DESCRIPTION:  Take a character from concept to completion as you transition from 2D sketches to a 3D maquette. Explore how concepts such as texture and proportion evolve from marks on paper to a sculpture in the round. Finish the week using professional materials such as polymer clay and airbrush paint to create a realistic model of your devised creature.

MATERIALS NEEDED:  All materials are provided by the Artsmiths of Pittsburgh and costs are included in the tuition.

LUNCH:  Students must bring a packed lunch unless other arrangements have been made through The Artsmiths by completing our Lunch Sign Up Form and paying the resulting fees at least one week prior to the start of camp. A limited amount of food and beverage may be available for purchase at our Koolkat Café.
