CLASS DESCRIPTION This class, taught by Nan Loncharich, will start with a discussion of processing and felting woven wool clothing for use. Students will gain tips for finding inexpensive materials at thrift stores. Using basic hand-sewing of simple shapes (no patterns needed), students will learn to make realistic flowers from recycled wool clothing such as skirts and jackets. Students will learn how to turn flowers into pins for wearing on clothing, hats, and bags, or for display. From a kit supplied by Nan, students complete 2-3 flowers, with accents and leaves, during the class.
